Our XK130 is based on the exciting Jaguar XK120 two-seater sports car, the major difference being the bumpers which are similar to those on the Jaguar XK140. Our car, therefore, being a combination of features from both the XK120 and XK140, was named the XK130.

When the Jaguar XK120 was announced at the London Motor Show it was 1948 – just a few years after the end of the Second World War. The Jaguar XK120 immediately caused a sensation with its wonderful styling and the newly developed XK Jaguar 3442cc engine. The model became an instant classic.

The engine was the world’s first mass-produced engine with hemispherical combustion chambers and twin overhead camshafts – sophistication until then only found in expensive racing cars – resulting in a power unit which was capable of over 120mph with a 0-60mph time of 10 seconds. The Jaguar XK120 was the fastest production car in the world at that time.

Production of the Jaguar XK120 started in 1949 and finished in 1954 with a total of 7,612 of the two-seater sports version produced, of which 6,437 were left-hand drive mainly going to the USA market.

Our XK130 is a two-seater sports car that looks very similar to the Jaguar XK120. It is powered by a 2800cc Nissan 6 cylinder fuel injected engine and has a 0-60mph (0-100kph) time of approximately 10 seconds.

Designed for the pleasure of open top motoring in style, and like the original design with its sleek and seductive curves, the XK130 receives many admiring looks.
